The brief
Refurbs, a social enterprise providing affordable household essentials, approached us with an exciting community initiative. They aimed to host weekly meetups to empower young people aged 16-24, who had recently settled in Wales, which focused on developing practical skills through upcycling projects, building conversational English confidence and exploring future education and career pathways. To effectively promote these beneficial events, Refurbs needed vibrant, multilingual marketing materials that could resonate with their diverse young audience.
The solution
Recognising the importance of making the materials inclusive and welcoming for all, we whipped up vibrant, youthful brochure designs that left plenty of space for content in multiple languages, working closely with Refurbs to ensure crystal-clear translation. Our designers then combined the translated text with vivid visuals and well-presented information. The result was a suite of fresh, multilingual brochures extending a warm invitation to get involved in these community-strengthening gatherings.
The results
The brochures were a major win for promoting Refurbs’ community-building events. By providing all the info in languages familiar to the young audience, we helped break down communication barriers and foster an inclusive atmosphere. Refurbs was delighted that our culturally-savvy creative solutions enabled connection across diverse groups, which amplified their resilience efforts – and we were proud to use our marketing expertise for such a meaningful cause.
